Efficient And Reliable Glass Services

CUT TO SIZE

On offer – A full cut to size service: With recent upgrades to both our monolithic and laminated automatic cutting tables, we can offer a quality, reliable service.

TOUGHENING

We can offer toughened glass up to 3000mm x 2800mm (subject to availability of glass), as well as curved toughened.

WATER JETTING

Our newest water jet machine means we can handle panels up to 3000mm x 2500mm for drilling and cutting.

POLISHING

State of the art glass polishing machines make sure of a quality finish. A range of bevelled and mitred edges are also available.

IGU

Insulated Glass unit. We can offer double or triple glaze units

PAINTING

Glass has a full paint line, offering painted glass for splashbacks, cladding, and any other application you can think of.

CNC

Our new CNC machine is capable of milling and polishing almost any shape.

HEAT SOAKING

With changes to building codes, ‘heat soaking’ of toughened glass is quite often required as a further process. Watson Glass is able to offer heat soaking when required.

Float Glass

The most basic of our products. Called ‘float glass’ because when it is manufactured, the molten glass is ‘floated’ on a bed of molten tin, giving the product smooth, distortion free surfaces.

Laminated Glass

Made when two sheets of glass are bonded with a poly vinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer. The end result is a  glass that when broken, stays together giving security and safety.

Mirrors

A superior type of float glass that has had a reflective coating applied, then coatings of a special paint that protects the reflective coating against damage. Available in silver (clear), bronze and grey finishes.

Patterned Glass

Glass manufactured by passing the ribbon of glass while still soft between two rollers, one with a pattern scribed into it. The pattern on the roller transfers to the glass, giving it a continuous, obscure pattern.

Low – E Glass

Glass manufactured with a pyrolytic coating that after cutting and processing can be toughened to be a safety glass.

IGU Glass

Insulated glass (IG), more commonly known as double glazing (or double-pane glass), consists of two or more glass window panes separated by a vacuum or gas-filled space to reduce heat transfer across a part of the building envelope.
